Drill the holes as marked on the pattern using a drill size that allows a snug fit for the pin or stud. Be careful to drill exactly on the mark and hold the drill very straight. The spacing of all the studs is important as holes offset in different directions may cause interference.

Try all the letters in place to be certain of alignment before applying sealant. Blow away any dust in the holes to promote a good bond. Some installers carry compressed air cans or simply blow in the holes with a strawl to accomplish this task. Slip any spacers onto the pins or studs that may be required (prior to application of the sealant). Apply sealant to the letter studs or pins and into the holes.
